Program about the increasing rates of drug abuse and teen pregnancy. We discussed some of the causes and reasons behind teen pregnancy and how drug abuse and teen pregnancy correlate. It was interesting to get the opinion of the residents in my hall who know individuals that are a result of teen pregnancy and who happen to use drugs.
A program about the importance of education and how African Americans should go out and give back to the younger generation. We discussed the difference between Historically Black Colleges and Universities versus Predominantly White Institutions and why choose Morehouse College over other school choices.
This program was about Greek life. Many of the residents are interested in Greek life so i came up with a panel of Greeks to discuss about Greek life. The panel consisted of advisors and students on campus who are involved in Greek life. Not many residents came out, but the information was very effective and useful for the residents.
Residents Marvin Medley and Camron Gilbert had a good conversation about Morehouse and there first year experience. The residents were very passionate about the topic and felt that Morehouse needs some changes to occur.
On 12/1/ 2010, the residents Lemell Overton and Daquarius Anthony went to the Kappa probate together and supported some of the brothers who were crossing. The residents were very intrigued by the show. Im glad that they had a good time, and they had a chance to see what greek life is about here at Morehouse
On the date of November 30, 2010, the residents ( Dominique, Brandon, Antonio, Wsir, Muhammed and Lemell) and I enjoyed a movie night watching Kevin Hart and Set it Off as just a way to relax and have fun
On Novembrer 17, 2010 Innocent Oscar, Devan Tate, Kenneth Pass and I had a interesting conversation about classes and some of the individuals around campus. The residents seemed very passionate, and I feel that they have a lot to contribute around the hall and campus.
On the date of 11/4/2010, a few of the residents of White Hall and I went to the cafe together and ate dinner. My residents got the oppportunity to bond with me and each other. We had a good conversation about each other and what goes on around the hall
